The method involves extending a heat injection well (3) within a clay layer (1), and transferring heat quantity contained in heat distribution medium fluid (11) to the clay layer in the injection well. The heat quantity is stored in the clay layer. The quantity of heat of the clay layer is removed at the time of increased heat within a building (5). The quantity of heat is obtained by a solar thermal plant (2). The quantity of heat is delivered from the clay layer to a floor of the building. An independent claim is also included for a device for storage of quantities of heat in underground of a building.
