The platform (1) has an elongated running surface (7) supported in a movable manner. The platform is swivelably and movably guided around an axis that runs parallel to a longitudinal axis of the running surface such that the platform is movable transverse to the longitudinal axis. The running surface is provided with a hydraulic pressure sensor to produce a sensor signal, during attachment of the running surface at a rail vehicle (2), where the sensor is designed as an electrical switching strip. A control is provided in contact with the sensor to stop movement of the running surface.
