The station has an absorption refrigerator (12) with a heat transfer device for transferring thermal energy from an exhaust system of a combustion engine (10) to a boiler (22). The heat transfer device is designed as a heat pipe for transporting thermal energy from an end to another end under utilization of vaporization heat, where the former end is connected with a component e.g. catalytic converter, of the exhaust system of the engine in a thermally conductive manner, and the latter end is connected with the boiler of the refrigerator in a thermally conductive manner. The working medium in the heat pipe is water, helium, nitrogen, ammonia, sodium and lithium.
