PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food to aid swallowing having a high shape-retaining property in the process of production, transportation and serving while having such a soft texture as to smoothly dissolve in the mouth when the food is orally taken, and capable of making translucent materials; and the food for swallowing.;SOLUTION: The food to aid swallowing is produced by executing the following steps one after another: a step for adding 5-20 times amount of chemically processed starch and 5-20 times amount of pregelatinized starch to glucomannan or Konnyaku powder; a step for absorbing water in the glucomannan or Konnyaku powder and the chemically processed starch and pregelatinized starch; a step for adding a coagulant; and a step for braising with steam.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
