PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile robot capable of stable operation while requiring no complicated control, manufacturable at low cost and having superior robustness, and a body driving mechanism for mobile robots applicable to the mobile robot.;SOLUTION: The body driving mechanism 20 for mobile robots includes a plurality of servomotors 24a, 24b, 24c, 24d and a link mechanism, and is a mechanism for rotationally driving a body main section 24 extending in a longitudinal direction. The body main section 24 is rotatably attached to a mobile robot 10. The plurality of servomotors 24a, 24b, 24c, 24d respectively have output shafts 23a, 23b, 23c, 23d arranged in parallel with each other, and at least one of the output shafts of the plurality of servomotors is connected to the link mechanism.
