PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an RFID reader/writer for ensuring a necessary communication distance even if a transmitting and receiving antenna 12 has a small diameter by providing a resonation antenna 21 acting as a booster antenna integrally with a case 20 of a compact connector-integrated RFID reader/writer.;SOLUTION: In this reader/writer, the case 20 contains the antenna 12 for transmitting and receiving information with a noncontact RFID card and a control part for processing information transmitted and received through the antenna 12. A connector 11 for connection with external equipment is provided on one end of the case 20. The case 20 further includes the resonation antenna 21 composed of a loop coil 23 larger in diameter than the antenna 12, with the antenna 12 disposed therein, and a capacitor 24 connected with the loop coil 23, the resonation antenna 21 resonating in the vicinity of the carrier frequency of the RFID reader/writer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
