The invention relates to a method of stunning poultry, such as chickens, turkeys, ducks and quails, comprising the steps of: i) hanging the poultry head down; ii) positioning the head of the suspended poultry and iii) stunning the poultry by exposing the head to the suspended poultry with the positioned head; and to the installation for implementing the method.
