PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a poultry feed which can soften the property of poultry meat to improve texture; to provide a method for producing meat, by which the meat having improved texture can be produced in a large amount by using the feed; to provide a method for breeding poultry having a meat property good in texture; and to provide a poultry meat-softening agent using the feed. PSOLUTION: The poultry feed for improving the texture contains an astaxanthin compound in the feed.
