The invention relates to the use of maslinic acid or natural, synthetic or semi-synthetic maslinic-rich mixtures or of a composition containing said acid for the treatment of pathological processes associated with COX-2 activation, intended inter alia, for the symptomatic and/or regenerative treatment of arthrosis, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, sciatica and other articular disorders that are difficult to diagnose.
