PURPOSE: A lightweight ceramic composition for daily ceramics is provided to reduce the weight of the ceramic composition by using ternary components-based ceramic materials, diatomaceous earth powder, and white clay powder to reduce the density of ceramics.;CONSTITUTION: A lightweight ceramic composition for daily ceramics includes 20-40 weight% of ternary components-based ceramic materials, 50-60 weight% of diatomaceous earth powder, and 20-10 weight% of white clay powder. The ternary components-based ceramic materials are composed of clay, silica, and feldspar. A sintering process is implemented at a temperature between 1200 and 1300 degrees Celsius for 1 to 2 hours. The sintering intensity of the ceramic composition is to be between 110 and 120MPa. The density of the ceramic composition is between 1.25 and 1.32g/cm^3. The shrinkage rate of the ceramic composition is between 1 and 4.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
