A consumption energy amount calculating device obtains data pertaining to the electric power consumed in a production line and data pertaining to the number of members to be processed (S11 to S18), and sets a reference energy amount and a reference number for the number of members (S19). Then, valid data is extracted from among a plurality of data on the basis of the reference energy amount and the reference number (S20 to S22), and the data basic unit of one data is calculated for the valid data. Subsequently, the average value of the data basic unit is calculated, and the calculated average value becomes the net basic unit (S23). Moreover, the total number of members and the total electric power consumed in the production line is calculated (S24). The consumption electric power during an operating state is calculated by multiplying the total number of members by the net basic unit (S25). Then, the consumption electric power during a non-operating state is calculated by subtracting the consumption electric power during an operation state from the total electric power (S26).
