PURPOSE: A voltage dropping device having a capacitive element is provided to prevent unnecessary power loss by constituting a capacitor and a diode having polarity in parallel.;CONSTITUTION: A first terminal and a first capacitor of a commercial AC source(10) are connected in parallel in a first configuration part. A cathode of the first capacitor and an anode of a first diode(D1) are connected to the same node in the first configuration part. The anode of the first capacitor and the cathode of the first diode are connected to the same node in the first configuration part. A second terminal and a second capacitor of the commercial AC source are connected in parallel in a second configuration part. The cathode of the second capacitor and the anode of a second diode(D2) are connected to the same node in the second configuration part.
