The device has a light source (5) i.e. pocket lamp, and a hollow body (1) made from metal or plastic. The body has spatial geometry and expansion for receiving measuring geometry in a form of openings. A lower side of the body is completely opened. The body has observation apertures (2) that are closed by a stopper (3). A front side of the body has a marking of different angles (4) for in-plane-measuring geometries with respect to sample normal. The marking is formed according to ASTM E2539-08standard, where the stopper is made from metal, plastic or glass.
