The vehicle (10) has a control system (40) arranged in order to optimize an operation mode transition. Two traction motors (16, 18) are controlled to determine a set of vehicle ratings before the mode transition. The control system processes vehicle ratings, in order to identify whether the mode transition approaches. The control system executes a transition from two modes of operation when the input brake is selectively engaged and disengaged by the traction motors, in order to synchronize rotation speed of a machine (12) during operation mode transition slippage.
