The device has a protective layer and an adhesive layer formed by coating the protective layer by adhesive. The protective layer includes an opaque part (520) having dimensions suitable for masking cryptogram of a personal card, and transparent windows (510, 565-585) to expose selected areas of the personal card, where the selected areas of the card include a signature of the card, and the window is cut out in the protective layer. A principal part (501) is intended to be stuck on a face of the card, and a strip (502) is intended to be stuck on a back part of the card.
