PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating film which is excellent in hydrophilicity, antireflective properties and pencil hardness and has satisfactory crack resistance when the thickness is increased.SOLUTION: The coating film is formed by a composite composition containing (A) non-ionic surfactant and/or ampholytic surfactant; (B) silica source; and (C) polymer particles. The non-ionic surfactant and/or ampholytic surfactant (A) and the silica source (B) form a silica composite through hydrogen bonding, covalent bonding or the like, whereby the coating film excellent in hydrophilicity, antireflective property and strength is obtained.
