PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for testing an emergency safety system of a nuclear power plant, which is capable of accurately monitoring a state of an emergency safety system.SOLUTION: A device 10 for testing an emergency safety system includes: a test guide control unit 12 and a storage unit 13 for use in surveillance test of an emergency safety system; and a data collection control unit 15, a data management unit 19, and a storage unit 21 for use for monitoring a state of the emergency safety system. In the storage unit 13, execution contents of a surveillance test are stored per procedure step. Information on data collection conditions including a procedure step of collecting data is stored in an internal memory 16 of the data collection control unit 15. The data collection control unit 15 collects plant data inputted to an input unit 11 in the procedure step included in the information on data collection conditions, during a surveillance test, and the data management unit 19 uses the collected plant data to generate display information.
