PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crane with reduced power consumption, a method of reducing power consumption thereof and a program displaying power consumption.;SOLUTION: The crane with reduced power consumption includes a lifting implement 14, a hoisting winch and a power measuring device for measuring power consumed by the hoisting winch, and an acquiring unit (a position measuring process and a weight measuring process) for acquiring information (heights H1, H2 and weight) of containers C1, C2 stacked on a ship S, and performs hoisting up and down of the lifting implement 14. The crane further includes: a calculator (an expected hoisting height calculation process) for calculating an expected hoisting height h2 of the lifting implement 14 when loading/unloading the container C1, based on the heights H1, H2 and weight; a calculator (an expected power consumption calculation process) for calculating expected power consumption based on the expected hoisting height h2; a calculator (a hoisting height measuring process) for calculating hoisting height h1 of the lifting implement 14; and a display device for displaying the expected power consumption and the power consumption measured by the power measuring device, and the expected hoisting height h2 and the hoisting height h1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
