PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel apparatus and a novel method for arranging a work, which can arrange the work simply in a short time, while suppressing costs, and has wide applications. PSOLUTION: A mold arranging apparatus including a crane device 4 to suspend a mold D up and down movable near a platen 2 arranged nearly orthogonal to a base surface 1f and to arrange the mold D so that the back surface FSB2/SBof the mold D is nearly in parallel with a side surface 2f of the platen by suspending the mold D with a lower-end surface FSB1/SBof the mold D being inclined so as to recede from the side surface 2f of the platen. The mold D is equipped with a roller member 5 protruding from the lower-end surface FSB1/SBof the mold D toward the base surface 1f at a position closer to the side of the platen 2 than the position directly under the center of gravity OSBM/SBin a condition that the mold D is suspended.
