PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a harmful trace element elution inhibitor used to suppress elution of harmful trace elements from coal ash in a simple method and suitable in particular for elution suppression of harmful trace elements, and a harmful trace element elution suppression method using the inhibitor.;SOLUTION: In a coal thermal power generation system, the harmful trace element elution inhibitor is added to a furnace during combustion of coal and is used to suppress elution of harmful trace elements from coal ash which are combustion residues of the coal. The harmful trace element elution inhibitor includes coal ash obtained by firing coal, and includes 5 mass% or more of calcium in terms of calcium oxide.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
