CRYSTALLIZING METHOD OF LsrR, AN LsrR CRYSTAL, AND AN LsrR ACTIVATION CONTROLLING AGENT

PURPOSE: An LsrR full length crystal, a partial length crystal, and a crystallization method are provided to understand the three dimensional structure of the protein which plays a key role in transfer of a bacterial quorum sensing signal.;CONSTITUTION: An LsrR crystal is a space group (C2) of a monoclinic system and has 4 full length LsrR molecules in an asymmetric unit. LsrR is a polypeptide containing 317 amino acids of sequence number 1, or is a polypeptide which has 80-99.5% of homology with the amino acid of sequence number 1. A method for crystallizing LsrR comprises the steps of: preparing an LsrR stock solution in which LsrR is dispersed in a concentration of 5-15 mg/ml; mixing the LsrR stock solution with a crystallizing buffer solution and preparing a mixed drop; and positioning the mixed drop in a closed space including a container for vapor diffusion equilibrium.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
