PURPOSE: A writing of a vessel safety assessment model and a vessel safety assessment method are provided to effectively perform safety assessment in a short design period through repetitive safety assessment and design application. CONSTITUTION: A vessel is stratified to a task, a function, a system, and a lower system. A table type of vessel safety assessment model is written by classifying the task, the function, the system, and the lower system into input, output, control, mechanism, a position, limitation, damage duration time, and dependability. A task performance possibility defines an accident scenario. The task performance possibility substitutes a vessel movement analysis result for the vessel safety assessment model. A design result is repetitively improved by confirming a safety requirement level.
