PURPOSE: A connection device for a friction coupling type steel pipe spread beam, the steel pipe spread beam for supporting a retaining wall using the same, and a construction method of the spread beam are provided to improve coupling performance of the steel pipe spread beam because a coupling force of every bolt to connect a ring plate can evenly reach an optimal value. CONSTITUTION: A connection device for a friction coupling type steel pipe spread beam comprises a first ring plate(110), a second ring plate(120), a plurality of reinforcement pieces(300), a connection unit(400), and a coupling unit(130). First and second coupling pieces(111,121) are individually formed on both ends of a circumference direction in the first and second ring plates. A plurality of the reinforcement pieces is vertically installed in the first and second coupling pieces. The connection unit comprises a head unit(410) and a connection unit(420) and is fixed by the coupling unit.
