FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to surgery of esophagus, and can be applied in correction of abnormal development of esophagus in newly born babies. Method lies in carrying out two stages of operation, the first of which includes extrapleural transaxillary thoracotomy, reduction of diastasis between upper and lower segments of esophagus by their mobilisation and approaching, control over approaching, the second stage includes application of esophageal anastomosis. After mobilisation of esophagus segments, their ends are sutured with Z-shaped sutures. After that, end of upper segment is fixed with maximal tension to periosteum of 5 thoracic vertebra, the end of lower one being fixed to periosteum of 7-8 thoracic vertebrae. When diastesis is reduced to 2-2.5 cm, thoracotomy with application of end-to-end anastomosis is performed.;EFFECT: application of claimed invention makes it possible to increase treatment efficiency due to reduction of trauma and postoperative complications.;1 ex
