PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a library device and the like that can be shared by a plurality of external devices.;SOLUTION: A library device 1 includes: at least one discharge slot 5 shared by a plurality of external device units 9; a physical library unit 8 that is divided into regions in a number larger than the number of the discharge slots 5; a logic library unit 4 logically associated with the regions; a logic library information storage unit 3 that stores connection information showing a connection relation between the logic library unit 4 and the external device unit 9; and a control unit 2 that controls a record medium 7 to be associated with the logic library unit 4 when discharging each record medium 7. In response to receipt of an export processing command from each external device unit 9, the control unit 2 specifies the logic library unit 4 to which a physical record medium 7 designated to be discharged while referring to the logic library information storage unit 3 is associated.
