PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earthquake-proof slit method which is not large-scale, is finished in a short work period, requires a low cost, is free from great deterioration of landscape, and does not require much labor.;SOLUTION: A gondola device is hung by three wire ropes 31, 32, 33 coupled by three winches 41, 42, 43, and a crane 9 in the gondola device is used to install a cutter 6 and to attach the cutter 6 to a rail 61 fixed to a wall surface 10 for the purpose of forming a slit. An operator getting on the gondola device operates a remote controller 71 to control rise/fall of the gondola device and movement of the cutter 6 through a control unit 7.
