PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water leakage detection method in which a measurable object range of a pipeline is enlarged in a pipeline water leakage investigation method using a smart ball, and provide a water leakage investigation system.;SOLUTION: A pipeline water leakage investigation method investigates water leakage of a pipeline on the basis of collection data of an acoustic sensor recorded in a smart ball 17 and reception data of an ultrasonic receiver 12, after the smart ball 17 including the acoustic sensor, an ultrasonic transmitter and the like is moved along in a pipeline 40a to be an investigation object of water leakage and is collected. The smart ball 17 is moved by a sherbet-like fluid 26 having water and ice particles pressurized and injected from a branch pipe 44a of the pipeline 40a to be the investigation object of water leakage.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
