The communication unit (4) is further adapted so as to establish a wireless communication link (22) with the tachograph module (14), and so as to transfer said data package to said tachograph module (14) via said communication link (22), and so as to then establish a tachograph contact between said communication unit (4) and tachograph module (14) via said communication link (22), wherein a tachograph contact is considered to be established when an identification procedure has been completed and approved.
