The present invention relates to a method of coating stainless steel with graphene oxide and reduced graphene oxide, and stainless steel coated with graphene oxide or reduced graphene oxide thereby and, specifically, to a method of coating stainless steel with graphene oxide, which comprises a first step of forming a graphene oxide mixture solution by dispersing graphene oxide powder in the dispersing solution of the present invention; and a second step of depositing graphene oxide by putting stainless steel into the graphene oxide mixture solution of first step and applying voltage, and a method of coating stainless steel with reduced graphene oxide, which further comprises a third step of reducing graphene oxide deposited on the stainless steel. The method of coating stainless steel with graphene oxide or reduced graphene oxide has effects of improving corrosion resistance by coating graphene, which is physically and chemically inert, on stainless steel; facilitating the manufacturing process by depositing the graphene layer with the electrophoretic deposition method; improving the deposition efficiency by using a mixture solution in which graphene oxide having (-) charge is dispersed; and improving the corrosion resistance and the acid resistance while preventing a decline in the conductivity on the stainless steel surface caused by the graphene oxide coating by reducing the stainless steel coated with a graphene oxide layer with the hydrazine reducing agent treatment and the heating treatment.
