The present invention relates to a method for coating stainless steel with graphene oxide or reduced graphene oxide, and stainless steel coated with graphene oxide or reduced graphene oxide thereby and, specifically, to a method for coating stainless steel with graphene oxide, which comprises a first step of manufacturing a graphene oxide mixture solution by dispersing graphene oxide powder in a dispersing solution of the present invention; and a second step of forming a graphene oxide thin film on the surface of the stainless steel by spreading the graphene oxide mixture solution of the first step with a spin coating method, and a method for coating stainless steel with reduced graphene oxide, which further comprises a third step of reducing the graphene oxide thin film formed on the stainless steel surface of the second step. The coating method according to the present invention has effects of improving the corrosion resistance of stainless steel by coating graphene, which is physically and chemically inert, on the stainless steel; facilitating the coating process by coating the stainless steel with the spin coating method; and improving the corrosion resistance and the acid resistance while preventing a decline in the conductivity of the stainless steel surface by the graphene oxide coating by reducing the stainless steel surface coated with graphene oxide through the hydrazine reducing agent treatment or the heat treatment.
