The present invention relates to a real-time data providing method based on an augmented reality and a portable terminal using the same and more specifically, to a real-time data providing method and a portable terminal using the same which are able to provide data measured by an experimental sensor in real time by overlapping an image of an experimental situation including a science experiment with an augmented reality. Specifically, the present invention is able to remarkably improve the comprehension and utilization of an experimenter by photographing an experimental situation by using a portable terminal like a smartphone or tablet of a user, generating an augmented reality image with which measurement data is overlapped, and providing the measurement data. The present invention also enables a user of a corresponding field to be able to deal with each situation rapidly in the most efficient way by enabling data according to various situations to be collected and provided in real time even in fields including a remote medical diagnosis, a broadcast, an architectural design, and a manufacturing process management. Therefore, the present invention is able to improve reliability and competitiveness not only in an augmented reality and especially, a scientific experiment field but also in various fields including the remote medical diagnosis, the architectural design, and the manufacturing process management.
