An object of the present invention is to provide a system and method for detecting an absolute altitude of a worker in a construction site, which determines a reference altitude value indicated by a current pressure value, according to a constant altitude value and a pressure deviation of a reference station, thereby obtaining an absolute altitude value. To achieve the object, the present invention provides an MEMS INS-based system for determining a 3d-position of a worker in a construction site, which comprises: an MEMS INS-based sensor part which detects a posture of a moving station that is the worker in the construction site, and pressure information in a current position of the construction site; a posture data collecting and synchronizing part which collects and synchronizes posture data from the MEMS INS-based sensor part; a bias variation correcting part which estimates and corrects a bias change according to a temperature variation based on data from the posture data collecting and synchronizing part; a distance calculating part which calculates a travel distance and a direction of the worker, based on corrected data from the bias variation correcting part; a pressure data collecting and synchronizing part which collects and synchronizes pressure data from the MEMS INS-based sensor part, and weather data of a reference station that is a survey datum point in the construction site; an absolute altitude calculating part which determines an absolute altitude of the worker, based data from the pressure data collecting and synchronizing part; and a 3-D position determining part which estimates and determines the 3-D position of the worker, based on a value calculated by the distance calculating part and a value calculated by the absolute altitude calculating part.
