A hydraulic oil container has a housing with a main body, a storage space and a first through opening, wherein the storage space for the accommodation of hydraulic oil in the main body is formed and wherein the first through opening in the main body is formed a connecting element, which for covering the first through opening is arranged on the main body, wherein the connecting element is a contact surface with a planar shape; and a filter device, which is arranged in the storage space. The filter device is connected with a region of the contact surface, which in the first through opening is exposed. The filter device has an overlapped region on which, in plan view of the first through opening of the inner side of the storage space with the inner edge of the first through opening overlaps.
