Direct, parallel determination of small molecular weight substances in a reactor broth (RB) using the cyclic voltammetry, comprises forming or using the small molecular substances during a sequence of a biotechnological method in the reactor broth. At least two operating electrodes (A1, A2) made of different materials and counter electrode (GE) are introduced in a measuring chamber (MK) with the reactor broth. The materials of at least two operating electrodes are selected such that different current-/potential curves and/or current peaks are detectable in these materials. Direct, parallel determination of small molecular weight substances in a reactor broth (RB) using the cyclic voltammetry, comprises forming or using the small molecular substances during a sequence of a biotechnological method in the reactor broth. At least two operating electrodes (A1, A2) made of different materials and counter electrode (GE) are introduced in a measuring chamber (MK) with the reactor broth. The materials of at least two operating electrodes are selected such that different current-/potential curves and/or current peaks are detectable in these materials for small molecular substances, which is to be determined. A reference electrode (RE) is connected with the reactor broth. The potential curves, which are selected with an electronic component, is applied to at least two operating electrode. The associated current curves between the counter electrode and at least two operating electrodes, and the associated voltage characteristics between the reference electrode and at least two operating electrodes are measured, and then the measured current/voltage curves are evaluated by means of an analysis unit. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for carrying out the above mentioned method comprising at least two operating electrodes mounted in the measuring chamber, the counter electrode mounted in the measuring chamber for measurements of current curves, reference electrode connected to the reactor broth for measurement of voltage curves, an electronic component, which is adjusted for applying desired potential curves at the operating electrode, and as a measuring unit for current curves between the operating electrodes and the counter electrode and as a measuring unit for voltage curves between the operating electrode and the reference electrode, and the analysis unit for evaluating the measured current/voltage curves, where (a) the operating electrode is made of different materials, (b) the materials exhibit different current/potential curve and/or different current peaks for the small molecular substance, which is to be measured.
