Halt brake for seating device, has magnetic coil whose magnetic flux is passed over profiles in currentless state, where reluctance force is generated by flux in circumferential direction of rotor and forms air gaps between profiles
The brake (1) has a rotor (4, 5) and a stator (3) facing on opposed surfaces (12, 13, 20, 21) and provided with opposite circumferential profiles, which are projected depending on the surfaces. Air gaps between the surfaces are adjusted in response to a rotational position of the rotor for the stator. Magnetic flux at a magnetic coil (23) is passed over the profiles in a currentless state, where operating modes of the brake is changed easily. Reluctance force is generated by the magnetic flux in a circumferential direction of the rotor, and forms the smallest air gaps between the profiles.
