PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a growing method or the like which enables production of leaf vegetables that can be categorized into highly-functional vegetables in a full-control type vegetable plant.SOLUTION: There is provided a method of cultivating leaf vegetables by using complete artificial light in a full-control type vegetable plant, in which RGB type LED illumination, and RGB type LED illumination including far-red light are used as a light source of complete artificial light. After seeding of the leaf vegetables, a growing period in which light using the RGB type LED illumination is irradiated for 5 to 14 days is provided, and then a growing period in which light using the RGB type LED illumination including far-red light is irradiated for 7 to 23 days is provided.
