PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for allowing a registered dietitian to determine food appropriate for mixing into or adding to a patient's diet to be provided to a patient.SOLUTION: The device for selecting food appropriate for a patient's diet to be provided to a patient comprises: medicine inputting means for inputting to store at least one prescribed medicine prescribed to the patient and a prescribed dose of the medicine; food inputting means for inputting to store food; a first food list storing section for storing a medicine and food contraindicated to be mixed into the medicine in association with each other; appropriate food determining means for searching the first food list storing section on the basis of the prescribed medicine and the food, and determining if the food and the prescribed medicine are contraindicated to be mixed, or whether the food produces a substitutional effect, the food supplements an effect, or the food lessens a side effect; and result displaying means for displaying a determined result.
