PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique to highly sensitively, simply and rapidly detect a microorganism contaminant such as endotoxin (lipopolysaccharide).;SOLUTION: A microfluid device comprises: a gas introducing part 7, a gas moving passage 8, a sample introducing part 10, a sample moving passage 11, and an optical cell 12. A reagent 26 containing a blood cell lysis or the like and an emission synthetic substrate 28 are placed in the sample moving passage 11, and an emission reagent (emission enzyme) 27 is placed in the optical cell 12. A liquid sample introduced into the sample introducing part 10 moves through the sample moving passage 11 owing to a pressure applied by a gas introduced from the gas introducing part 7, dissolves successively the reagent containing a blood cell lysis or the like and the emission synthetic substrate, and causes bioluminescence or chemiluminescence in the optical cell 12. Through this emission, endotoxin included in the sample is detected. Bioluminescence caused by luciferin and luciferase is preferably employed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
