PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for mitigating or preventing vomiting due to tube administration, in the case of tube administration of an enteral nutrient having a calcium ion concentration of less than 10 ppm, which may cause vomiting due to the tube administration, to a person for applying the enteral nutrient, even when a low methoxyl pectin aqueous solution for the prevention of vomiting is used. PSOLUTION: The method for mitigating or preventing vomiting due to tube administration, when an enteral nutrient having a calcium ion concentration of less than 10 ppm is tube-administered to a person for applying the enteral nutrient, includes: mixing a calcium ion supplying agent with the enteral nutrient; tube-administering the resulting mixture; and, before or after the tube administration of the mixture, tube-administering a low methoxyl pectin aqueous solution which exhibits a thickening effect by the calcium ion in the enteral nutrient.
