TECHNIQUE FOR COLON ANASTOMOSIS FOLLOWING RESECTION OF TRANSVERSE COLON FOR ACUTE BLEEDING CANCER

The technique for colon anastomosis following resection of the transverse colon for acute bleeding cancer comprises approaching proximal and distal edges of colon resection, their suturing and fashioning colon anastomosis. The cut proximal division of coon with the head of apparatus for circular anastomosis is approached to the site selected for anastomosis. The circular end-to-side colon anastomosis is fashioned with the aid of the apparatus inserted via the opening generated in the colon prior to its dissection in proximal to the supposed site of the anastomosis. The colon is cut with the aid of the apparatus for linear suturing. The staples are then covered with sero-serous sutures.
