The present invention relates to an opening and closing system of hatch covers, which is installed on a bulk carrier and comprises: guide rails installed in hatch coamings and an upper portion of a track way which are installed on the bulk carrier; multiple drive wheels respectively installed in side portions of a plurality of the hatch covers in order to move along the guide rails; and a drive element which is connected to sides of the hatch covers and makes the hatch covers reciprocate along the guide rails. The present invention facilitates ventilation inside a cargo holder by making a quick opening and closing operation of the hatch covers possible in a fitting stage of the hatch covers while allowing a quick response to fire as well as a quick input and unloading of equipment.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
