A method for determining the location of ground object signature-based images of urban development in the visible and infrared ranges and a digital map, comprising: obtaining an original image, edge extraction building relief estimate coordinates of the object by constructing the reference contours of building relief for different points ranking field followed by determining the best approximation of the standard to the selected path; and wherein release of the displayed image array of one-dimensional signature circuit construction of the relief; filtering algorithm presence of interfering objects, directed at reducing the development of the relief distortion circuits tree circuits, poles and wires; using character recognition construction, to reduce the ranking of a hypothetical zone; building at different points of the field of one-dimensional positioning of reference signature model building contours relief based on the data on directions and viewing angles lenses; implementation of the location estimate of the object in the form of a multi-stage coordinate positioning area search procedure, with the smallest difference between the reference and dedicated circuits built signatures relief decreases at each stage of the search step to increase the resolution and the coordinates; using in the first step of estimating the coordinates of variable pitch search object, which is calculated based on the evaluation in the current density built-up area; the use of images of visible and infrared ranges with a different number of cameras and thermal imagers for different values of viewing angles.
