FIELD: physics, navigation.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to positioning of ground structures. This process comprises the steps that follow. Algorithm is developed for filtering of parasitic structures to identify the development pattern. Univariate reference signatures of development area relief outlines model are constructed for positioning area points with due allowance for directions and vision angles of objective lenses. Structure location is evaluated by multistage search of positioning area coordinates with the least difference between reference and isolated signatures of said outlines. Variable-step search is used for said evaluation proceeding from evaluation of development density in current region. Visible- and IR-band images are used. In compliance with claimed process, array of univariate reference signatures of development area relied outlines is isolated from the image.;EFFECT: higher accuracy of positioning.;3 dwg
