Luminiscent substance with silicate luminophores, doped with Eu2+, contains solid solutions of mixed phases of oxyorthosilicates of alkali and are earth metals, represented, for instance, by formula: (1-x)MII3SiO5·x SE2SiO5:Eu, where 0x≤0,2; MII represents ions of bivalent metal, containing at least one ion selected from the group, consisting of strontium and barium, and SE - rare earth metals from the group, including Y, La, Gd. Luminophore can additionally contain ions of bivalent metal from the group, including Ca and Cu, as well as Ce3+ as additional activator.;EFFECT: increased service term of luminophores in light diodes due to increased resistance to atmospheric humidity.;11 cl, 2 dwg, 2 tbl, 4 ex
