FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to chemical industry and light equipment and can be used in light diodes for emission of coloured or white light. Luminiscent substance with silicate luminophores, doped with Eu²⁺, contains solid solutions of mixed phases of oxyorthosilicates of alkali and are earth metals, represented, for instance, by formula: (1-x)M^II ₃SiO₅·x SE₂SiO₅:Eu, where 0x≤0,2; M^II represents ions of bivalent metal, containing at least one ion selected from the group, consisting of strontium and barium, and SE - rare earth metals from the group, including Y, La, Gd.
