PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective cover capable of improving detection accuracy by narrowing a clearance between a magnetic encoder and a magnetic sensor.;SOLUTION: This invention relates to a bearing device 11 including an inner ring 12 formed with an inner ring raceway surface 12A at its outer circumferential surface, an outer ring 13 formed with an outer ring raceway surface 13A at its inner circumferential surface, a bearing having a rolling element 14 rolling between the inner ring raceway surface 12A and the outer ring raceway surface 13A, a magnetic encoder 16 positioned at one end of an axial direction of the bearing and fixed at the inner ring 12, and, a magnetic sensor A for detecting rotation of the magnetic encoder 16 in opposition to a magnetic pole of the magnetic encoder 16. There is provided a cup-like protective cover 1 press fitted into the outer ring 13 to cover the magnetic encoder 16. There is formed a removal processing part 6 in which a sensor opposing surface 4A opposing against the magnetic sensor A at a metallic disk part 4 present between a magnetic encoder 16 and the magnetic sensor A is processed and removed so as to narrow a clearance between the magnetic encoder 16 and the magnetic sensor A.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
