PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable bending fatigue life prediction method and a cable bending fatigue life prediction device capable of accurately predicting the bending fatigue life of a cable including multiple conductor element wires.;SOLUTION: According to one embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a cable bending fatigue life prediction method including: a database generation process for creating a database by acquiring relation between strain amplitude and the number of application times of a tension load till disconnection for each magnitude of a contact load when a contact load and a repetitive tension load are applied to a single first conductor element wire; a calculation process for calculating strain amplitude generated in multiple second conductor element wires and the magnitude of a contact load on the basis of the bending condition of a prediction object cable including the second conductor element wires; and a bending time prediction process for collating the strain amplitude of the second conductor element wires and the magnitude of the contact load, that are calculated in the calculation process, with the database, and predicting the number of bending times of the cable under the bending condition till the disconnection of the second conductor element wires.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
