The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing an exterior panel for a building structure, and more specifically, to a method of manufacturing a polystyrene foam panel which applies steam to polystyrene injected with hydrocarbon gas such as butane or pentane and compresses such that polystyrene is melted and expanded to be manufactured into the polystyrene foam panel. The method comprises: a polystyrene aging step of aging polystyrene injected with hydrocarbon gas for four to eight hours in a natural state to adjust the amount of hydrocarbon gas to be 40% to 50% of the total; a polystyrene filling step of filling the aged polystyrene into a mold and adjusting the density of the filled polystyrene; a first compression step of applying steam to the polystyrene and pressing and compressing the same such that the polystyrene has the density of 10 to 20kg/m^3; and a second compression step of applying steam to the polystyrene while pressing and compressing the same such that the polystyrene has the density of 38 to 44kg/m^3. The present invention relates to the method of manufacturing an exterior panel for a building structure which uses high density polystyrene to be used as a light-weight exterior panel for buildings by lowering expandibility of polystyrene when the polystyrene injected with gas is compressed and manufactured into the polystyrene to enhance density, enable uniformity and improve strength.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
