The present invention provides a keeping apparatus for a mobile terminal, which enables checking of information on whether the mobile terminal is kept and how long the mobile terminal is kept at a remote place. The keeping apparatus for a mobile terminal comprises: at least one keeping control unit determining whether the mobile terminal is connected and keeping the mobile terminal if the mobile terminal is determined to be connected; and a state control unit controlling a keeping state of at least one mobile terminal kept in the at least one keeping control unit based on information received from the at least one keeping control unit. Therefore, the present invention enables the users, using the mobile terminals, to keep the mobile terminals spontaneously and enables a manager to check whether the mobile terminal is kept at a remote place for saving physical or temporal costs. In addition, the present invention automatically makes the mobile terminal switch over to a soundless mode to help creating an academic atmosphere and charges the mobile terminal to prevent the mobile terminal, being kept, from being discharged. And, the present invention records the keeping time of the mobile terminal in a database and enables the keeping time to be outputted to a manager terminal and the mobile terminal for enabling the manager to use information on the keeping time of the mobile terminal as usage data.
