The method for manufacturing environmentally friendly artificial charcoal comprises: a sorting step (S1) of sorting charcoal powder with a size of 0.05-1 mm and charcoal powder with a size of 0.1-0.3 mm in a ratio of 2:1; a mixing step (S2) of mixing 13-23 wt% of molasses, 0.7-2 wt% of sodium silicate and the remainder of the charcoal powder in the sorting step (S1) using a cylindrical rotating mixer having a temperature of 40-50 C and a pressure of 1-2 Kg/cm^2; a compression molding step (S3) of molding the raw material mixture in the mixing step into a molding shape proper for use by putting the raw material mixture into a vertically reciprocating molding machine and molding the raw material mixture using a compressive force of 1-30 kg/cm^2; a carbonizing step (S4) of charging the compression-molded article in the compression molding step into a horizontal kiln, maintaining the compression-molded article at temperature of 500-600C for 30 to 40 minutes, and keeping the compression-molded article covered with a cap for blocking oxygen for 5-6 hours; a cooling step (S5) of taking out the carbide in the carbonizing step from the horizontal kiln and conducting a natural cooling process for 3-4 hours; and a packing and shipping step (S6) of putting a product, which has been cooled in the cooling step, in a sealed packing container to prevent the loss of fixed carbon and volatile matters included in the product, and weighing and shipping the product.
