PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide therapies for bacterial infections selectively targeting pathogens of hospital infection without affecting ordinary environmental microbial flora for specific use in hospitals.;SOLUTION: Provided is a purified bacteriophage comprising a genome with at least 99% sequence identity to a certain nucleotide sequence, and having an antibacterial activity to Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Also provided is a pharmaceutical composition comprising the bacteriophage and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The pharmaceutical composition may comprise one or more additional bacteriophages known to have antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
